Experience, understanding
and a personal approach.
Helping you and your horse find confidence in each other.

A lifelong interest.
A practical foundation.
I’ve been involved with horses since I was 11. What I enjoy most is seeing a partnership grow—especially when horse and owner begin to understand each other after working through something difficult.
My experience includes sole-charge management of a livery yard and riding school, alongside teaching at a BHS riding school. I’ve handled horses ranging from youngstock and stallions to competition-fit horses.

Work with the partnership
you have today.
My approach combines classical riding principles with elements of natural horsemanship. Each session starts with how you and your horse are on that day.
I want you to understand the purpose of an exercise, recognise your horse’s responses and feel more confident about your next step.
Sometimes that means progressing. Sometimes it means slowing down, making something clearer or recognising a good effort.
I particularly enjoy supporting nervous owners and helping with groundwork and everyday handling challenges.
What Dutchy
has taught me.
Understanding takes time.
And the small steps matter.
I’ve had Dutchy since she was six months old. Now six, she has grown up with me, and our journey has brought its share of challenges. I’ve had to learn what she needs from me, recognise when she feels she has answered a question and make my communication clearer when we misunderstand each other.
Today, she is a horse who really tries. A particularly rewarding milestone has been seeing her ridden by a novice rider—a reflection of her progress, rather than an expectation I would place on every horse.
She continues to teach me about patience, consistency and recognising effort. That experience is part of what I bring to Synergy Equine.

“What matters most is people working with their horse,
and their horse working with them in harmony.”
Start where you are.
Grow together.
